Today, in the 21st Century, Beggs has come a long way from its humble beginnings in 1900. During the oil days, Beggs boasted 10 grocery stores, 8 drygood stores, 3 banks, along with several other stores, stables and hotels. Gradually, over the years, those businesses closed their doors for lack of business. Through all of the ups & downs our community has been blessed with a great public school system which contributes to the growth & refinement of its methods in the classroom. In the past several years, 2 state-of-the-art domed buildings have been constructed at Beggs Schools grounds, along with a new football stadium.
